ICS Chair: Wei-Wen Hsu
Wei-Wen is an Associate Professor of Biostatistics in the Division of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at the University of Cincinnati (UC) College of Medicine. Before he joined UC, He was an associate professor with tenure in the Department of Statistics and a core public health faculty for the Master of Public Health program at Kansas State University. He received his PhD degree in Statistics from Michigan State University. Wei-Wen has participated in the ICS mentoring program since 2019.

ICS Vice-Chair: Matt Hawks
Matt is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Mathematics and Statistics Department at Georgetown University. A 30-year Navy veteran, he previously served in various enjoyable roles in Submarine Warfare and Engineering Duty, including duty stations in seven different states and deployments to East Africa and the waters of the Far East and Middle East. He received his PhD in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School, and previously taught at the United States Naval Academy.

ICS Chair-Elect: Evidence S. Matangi
Evidence S. Matangi is a Fulbright scholar from Zimbabwe, and a Visiting Assistant Professor at Purdue University. He received his PhD in Statistics at Purdue University. He resides in Marion, IN, with his wife and three children. He has served as an American Statistical Association(ASA) StatsForward Leadership Fellow (2023-24). Evidence has taught at Taylor University and the University of Zimbabwe. Evidence has served in the ICS mentoring program since 2022. Evidence serves as a man’s life group leader in his local church.

ICS Past-Chair: Soeun Kim
Soeun is Professor of Applied Statistics and Data Science at Azusa Pacific University. She received her PhD in biostatistics from UCLA and currently lives in California. Soeun has served on the ICS board for three years.

ICS Secretary: Shirlly Xie
Sherlly Xie currently is a statistician at Medtronic. She grew up in a non-religious family in Beijing, China but was introduced to Christianity by a friend during her undergraduate years and was was baptized in 2009. Since then, she has served in campus ministries, children's and worship teams, and one-off volunteer opportunities in her local churches. Shirlly has participated in the ICS mentoring program and the monthly book study. Sherlly earned her MS in Biostatistics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health and PhD in Epidemiology at Drexel University School of Public Health.

ICS Treasurer & Communications Director: Don Lewis
Don is retired after 33 years of a solo statistical training and consulting practice. He received his PhD in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. Don is married with four adult children and five grandchildren. He has lived in the Portland, OR area for 41 years. Don has been a member of the ICS board since its inception in 2017.
